HPG Meeting Quarter IV/2015

On the morning of 08/18/2015 at Fortuna Hotel, Hanoi, meeting Health Partnership Group's second HPG in 2015 took place with the share of aid trends in the health sector in Vietnam in the new circumstances and in the context of the Ministry of Health is building sector 5-year plan. Meeting by Deputy Minister of Health Le Quang Cuong chaired with Mr. Alejandro Montalban, Counsellor for Development Cooperation of the European Union Delegation in Vietnam.

Some key conclusions of the meeting include: (1) On the 5-year plan to build the health sector: The participants said that the plan should be developed based on the actual needs of local areas priorities and the actual data. 5-year plan can be built overall building orientation specific plan for each year. (2) Regarding trends in the health sector aid the future: The new trend in the paradigm shift aimed at increasing the autonomy and mastery of party support, focus on results, increase system capacity and also poses the need for a mechanism for implementation and appropriate coordination. Meeting attendees also heard its share of the Government Office on the direction and objectives of the government to the health sector, such as health insurance issues, IT, human resources training, budget planning.
