In order to review the progress of VHPD implementation and way forward to foster this process, the HPG meeting on Vietnam Health Partnership Document (VHPD) implementation – Progress and way forward was organized in Hanoi on 17 November 2016. The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Tran Thi Giang Huong, Director General of International Cooperation Department, MOH; and co-chaired by Dr. Socorro Escalante, Health System Development Team Coordinator, World Health Organization in Vietnam. The meeting welcomed the attendance of about 70 participants from MOH departments, DPs and INGOs, especially with more represence of private sector.

In the meeting, participants highlighted the importance of setting up the indicator set for measuring the accomplishment of each milestone, and suggested that the VHPD should also need to be adjusted to the new context and to link with the five-year health sector plan and the SDG action plan of the country.
